Sometimes life throws you curveballs, especially when you're in the military. Curveballs like planning an evening wedding in April but then suddenly having to move it to a Thursday afternoon in November.
But Christa and Duncan took it in stride, and their gorgeous Gatsby-themed wedding was perfection.
You've heard me preach on details time and time again, and Christa and Duncan had them down to a t. A beautiful jeweled bouquet. A customized high-low wedding dress with bright red shoes. The most stylish little flower girl dresses you've ever seen. And of course, Duncan looking sharp in his dress blues.
Not to be too cliché, but life doesn't always go the way you plan it. The best you can do is adjust and enjoy the ride, and that's precisely what Christa and Duncan did. The date may have been different, but all the care poured into the details, all the family that came to show their love and celebrate, and all the romantic, straight-out-of-a-movie love between Christa and Duncan was there, and at the end of the day, that's what really counts.
So don't waste time and energy stressing the changes. Instead, do what I ALWAYS tell ALL my couples is the upmost important thing: enjoy your day.
